Katie McWeeney is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and gardener based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. She was born in Charleston, SC, raised in the Mississippi Delta, and received her degrees at Louisiana Tech University (BFA) and Memphis College of Art (MFA) with concentrations in architecture, cultural studies, and mixed-media art practices.
Katie’s work is in private collections throughout the United States, and she has made work and exhibited through the South and beyond. She is a member and volunteer at Black Mountain Center for the Arts, stewards a small flower farm, and is opening an art studio, curated gallery, and community-gathering space in downtown Old Fort, NC in Fall 2024.
